Cancellations

Either side can cancel. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice before the start time, a flat $25.00 late cancellation fee applies. Cancelling earlier is free. You can cancel from your private status page.

Students can cancel too, with no penalty. If that happens we tell you straight away and try to find someone else.

A quote you have not accepted can be declined at any time, at no cost.

Booking hours

The students are in school, so the hours depend on the day. School days are Monday to Friday when school is open; weekends, statutory holidays and school breaks use the longer weekend and holiday hours. The booking form checks the date you pick.

• Dog walking: school days 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., weekends and holidays 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Babysitting: from 4:00 p.m. on school days or 9:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays, until 9:00 p.m. on school nights, 11:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays
• House cleaning: school days 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., weekends and holidays 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Snow clearing: school days 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., weekends and holidays 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Babysitting

• No booking runs past 9:00 p.m. on school nights or 11:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. The booking form will not let a booking end later.
• Please be home on time. If you come home after the booked end time, a $75.00 late-return penalty applies, plus the hourly rate for the extra time.
• Once a babysitting booking is confirmed, you share your phone number, where you will be and an emergency contact, and your sitter shares their phone number and a parent's or guardian's contact. Nothing is exchanged before the booking is confirmed.

House cleaning

A parent, guardian or other responsible adult must be at the property for the whole clean, for the safety of everyone involved.

Cleaning is priced at a flat rate, not by the hour. Up to three students may come together; the price stays the same.

Dog walking

Every new dog-walking customer starts with a free in-person meeting, so you, your dog and your walker get to know each other before the first walk.

Safety and screening

• An adult organiser reads every request before any student sees it.
• Every student profile is approved before it goes live. Students are shown by first name, age and an animal avatar only.
• Reviews are checked before they are published.
• Customers and students message each other through the site. Phone numbers and emails are not shown, except the babysitting contact exchange described above.

What we collect and why

• Customers: your name, email, phone (optional) and the job address and notes, so we can screen your request, match a student and keep you updated. Students assigned to your job see the address and notes; they do not see your email or phone.
• Students: first name, last name, age, email, phone and parent/guardian emails. Only the first name, age, animal, short bio and progress percentage are ever public.
• Messages and notifications: we keep a record of messages and of every email and text we send, so there is a clear history if anything goes wrong.
• Bot protection: our forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out spam. We store a one-way fingerprint of your IP address with each request, not the address itself.
• We don't sell or share your information, and we don't use advertising trackers. Payment happens directly between you and the student, never through the site.
• We keep records for now. You can ask us to stop sending you promotions at any time.
